What is a domain registration?

A domain registration is to register a domain address through us with a domain registrar or in other words to register a web address i.e. www.yourcompany.com that is accessible on the internet and hosted on our web server.

What is the cost of a domain registration?

Domain registration costs very and depends on the type of extension you register. The most common domains registered in South Africa today are .co.za and .com and they very between R150 - R170. This is a once-off cost but however coupled to a monthly hosting fee depending on the hosting plan you choose. Yearly license fees are also payable for the domain to the registrar and will be invoices starting the same time in 12 months from your first registration and so on. These invoices are generated automatically by our system and will be emailed to your default email address listed on our system when the invoice is due for payment. We will automatically renew the domain license fee as soon as payment reflects on our side.

If the domain is verified and available for registration, what now?

When the domain entered in to the domain checker is verified and available for registration you will be able to proceed along with our shopping basket who will guide you through the buying process. Once the process is completed you will receive an email notifying you of your order. Once the domain is registered and setup on our server by one of our system administrators you will again be notified but this time confirming the successful purchase of the domain and that you can now login to your new account with us on our website and start to manage your domain.Other important information will also be sent to you such as your cpanel and webmail username & passwords.

How long does it take to register a domain through us?

Domain registrations are quick and easy through us. It normally take between 1-24 hours depending on the registrar but mostly between 1-4 hours rather than 20-24 hours.
